What is beef tallow?
Beef tallow is the pure fat rendered from beef, similar to how bacon fat comes from pork. We use 100% grass-fed beef tallow because it gives Vandy Crisps a rich flavor and clean, non-greasy crunch.
Why are Vandy Crisps more expensive than regular potato chips?
Unlike most potato chips, we use real food ingredients. Vandy is made with certified organic potatoes, 100% grass-fed U.S. beef tallow and real seasonings.

Why don't you use avocado oil?
Avocado oil can be cut with other oils, which makes it harder to know exactly what you're getting. Vandy has always been cooked in 100% grass-fed beef tallow because it's pure, simple and gives our crisps a richer flavor and better crunch.
Does beef tallow make the chips taste like beef?
No. Beef tallow doesn't make the chips taste like beef. It gives them a richer, more satisfying flavor with a crisp, clean finish.
